Welcome!
Becoming a parent is exciting, but it also means adapting to a big life-change. It's easy to feel unprepared, overwhelmed, unappreciated, and even scared. St. Edith & St. Kenneth Mothers of Preschoolers (children who are birth to schoolage) group is a caring, encouraging, and accepting program for today’s moms. MOPS is a time of fun and fellowship, discussion, and sharing, creativity and crafts. We offer a haven for frazzled nerves, where a mom finds out she’s not alone. A quality children’s program is provided for the MOPPETS where the kids share in fun, stories, and crafts.
The MOPS group provides an open, Christian atmosphere where specific and significant needs of today’s preschool mothers are met, and which says, “'you belong!”' Coordinated for moms by moms, MOPS gives mothers opportunities to develop meaningful friendships with each other. In these friendships, moms find answers for their simple, everyday dilemmas and discover a safe place to explore and discuss life’s situations. MOPS help moms and MOPS makes a difference in the lives of families.
A meeting may have a speaker who may cover a variety of topics pertinent to moms, or a fun craft to enjoy while socializing with other moms and enjoying a cup of coffee. The intimate, safe, accepting atmosphere of the group, led by the mothers themselves, allows women to express their thoughts and feelings, sharing their frustrations, successes, and experiences. They find out that they are not alone, that what they are doing does make a difference, and lifelong friendships are made.
